Properties: light yellow powder (granules), slightly bitter, non-toxic. The specific gravity is 1.70, and the decomposition temperature is 300 °C. Soluble in chloroform, acetone, partially soluble in benzene and ethanol, carbon tetrachloride, insoluble in gasoline, water and ethyl acetate. Stable storage. Decomposition in case of strong acid or strong alkali solution.
Uses: high-speed vulcanization accelerator, no rubber dyeing. Suitable for NR, IR, BR, SBR, NBR, EPDM and latex. When used for dry rubber, it has the same properties as MBT and excellent scorch resistance. Used in latex systems with mild activity and often used in conjunction with super-promoters. The critical temperature of vulcanization is high (138°C). It is not easy to produce early vulcanization, and the flatness of vulcanization is wide. It is suitable for latex systems and has the function of adjusting the viscosity of the system. Suitable for injection molded and foamed rubber products. Safe operation, easy to disperse, no pollution, no discoloration. Resistant to aging when combined with TP. It is mainly used in the manufacture of tires, hoses, rubber shoes, adhesive tapes and other general industrial products.
