Properties: Pure 6PPD is a white solid, which will gradually oxidize into a brown solid when placed in air. Industrial products are purple-brown to black-brown granules or flakes, and will slowly agglomerate when the temperature exceeds 35-40 °C. Soluble in gasoline, benzene, acetone, ethyl acetate, dichloroethane, carbon tetrachloride, toluene, ethanol and other organic solvents, insoluble in water.
Uses: 6PPD is a p-phenylenediamine rubber antioxidant, it has good compatibility with rubber, not easy to spray, not volatile, low toxicity, has excellent antioxidant, ozone, anti-flex cracking, sun cracking, copper manganese and other harmful metals have a strong inhibitory effect, suitable for all kinds of synthetic rubber and natural rubber. It has good dispersion in the rubber material, has a softening effect on the rubber material, and has little effect on vulcanization. It can be used in various rubber products such as tires, and can also be used as a heat and oxygen stabilizer for polyethylene, polypropylene and acrylic resin.
