Properties: pure product is colorless orthorhombic crystalline solid, melting point 131.2 °C, specific gravity 1.07g/ml (30 °C). Industrial products are white or milky white crystalline powder, specific gravity 1.04-1.08, melting point 120-130 °C, its volatility is low, vapor pressure is 2mm/Hg column (160 °C), in rubber, solubility is higher than 2%, in organic solvents (such as methanol, ethanol, benzene, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform) dissolution is excellent. Due to its hindered phenolic structure, the chemical properties are inert, the storage stability is good, and the color is slightly yellow-pink when exposed to air for a long time, but it does not affect the antioxidant properties.
Uses: is natural rubber, latex, synthetic rubber excellent antioxidants and a variety of plastic products antioxidants, in oil and fatty foods are also excellent antioxidants, this product low toxicity, not volatile, no pollution products, no coloring, is widely used white general obstructed phenolic antioxidants.
