Investment in chemical raw materials and product manufacturing increased by 19.2% year-on-year in the first quarter

According to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on April 18, from January to March, the national fixed assets investment (excluding farmers) was 10728.2 billion yuan, up 5.1% year on year. Among them, the investment in chemical raw materials and chemical product manufacturing increased by 19.2% year-on-year.

In terms of industries, the investment in the primary industry is 242.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%; The investment in the secondary industry was 3396.4 billion yuan, an increase of 8.7%; The investment in the tertiary industry was 7089.4 billion yuan, an increase of 3.6%.

In the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 8.6% year-on-year. Among them, investment in the mining industry increased by 0.6%, investment in the manufacturing industry increased by 7.0%, and investment in the electricity, heating, gas, and water production and supply industries increased by 22.3%.

In the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding electricity, heating, gas, and water production and supply industries) increased by 8.8% year-on-year. Among them, investment in water conservancy management industry increased by 10.3%, investment in public facility management industry increased by 7.7%, investment in road transportation industry increased by 8.5%, and investment in railway transportation industry increased by 17.6%.

From a regional perspective, investment in the eastern region increased by 6.5% year-on-year, investment in the central region increased by 1.5%, investment in the western region increased by 4.9%, and investment in the northeast region increased by 13.7%.

By registration type, fixed assets investment of domestic enterprises increased by 5.3% year on year, fixed assets investment of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises decreased by 3.4%, and fixed assets investment of foreign enterprises increased by 3.7%.
