Testing principle:
The RBT-I type steel wire cord fatigue testing machine follows the principle of a rotating rod fatigue test (also known as the "Hunter fatigue test"): the steel wire cord to be tested is bent into an arch shape, one end is fixed on a chuck driven by an electric motor, and the other end is inserted into a movable bushing. The steel wire can rotate freely inside the bushing.
During the experiment, the clamp is driven by an electric motor, causing the steel wire cord to continuously rotate under certain bending stress conditions and undergo reciprocating bending fatigue. At this point, the bending stress at the vertex of the bent steel cord bow is:
σ B=1.199E * d/c
In the formula: d - diameter of steel wire;
C - distance between two grip points;
E - Young's modulus of steel wire.
Record the number of fatigue times when the steel cord breaks. This is the fatigue resistance number of the sample.
Test method:
During the experiment, bend the steel cord to be tested into an arch shape, fix one end on the electric motor driven clamp, and insert the other end into a sleeve. Set the spacing between grippers, test frequency (motor speed), and test time according to the test purpose.
After the test starts, the instrument will conduct the test according to the selected test conditions. When the set number of tests is completed or the steel cord breaks, the instrument will automatically stop and fully record the fatigue number of the sample when it breaks.
When a single wire fracture occurs in the steel cord sample during the test, the broken end collides with the contact ring, and the instrument will automatically stop and record the fatigue number.
